DLP

Stop the data on its way out

Classification, verification and deletion deal with the data you already have. DLP deals with the data on its way out: in real time, inside the tools people already use.

The DLP policy editor: sources down the left, their policies in the middle, and the open policy with its scope, exclusions, action and classes on the right

Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams and Copilot down the left, each with its own policies. A policy is a scope, a set of exclusions, an action and the classes it watches for. Where several match, the most specific scope wins.

Real-time Data Loss Prevention for Microsoft 365

Don’t send the wrong message.

Data & More DLP watches the content your people share across Microsoft 365 and steps in the moment something sensitive is about to reach the wrong place. It works in real time, inside the tools teams already use, so personal and confidential data is caught as it moves, not weeks later in an audit.

One engine across every Microsoft 365 channel. Every email, file and message is checked against the same Data & More profiling engine that powers the risk assessment, then handled by the policy you set, per source and per type of document.

Native Microsoft 365, no agent to install

How it works

01

Covers every M365 channel

One service watches Exchange Online email, OneDrive and SharePoint files, and Teams messages. It runs natively in your Microsoft 365 tenant, with nothing to install on devices.

02

Responds the way you choose

Set the response per source and per document type: log the violation silently, monitor quietly, alert the user, block outright, or grace-block to hold enforcement for a set window so a human can override before it takes effect.

03

People informed, security in control

The person sharing risky content is notified instantly by email and Teams, with the source the finding came from named on the card. Security gets a full audit trail of how sensitive data spreads, and can revert, enforce or cancel any pending action.

Why it matters

Firewalls don’t stop a leak; less data in motion does. Access controls and firewalls don’t stop a colleague forwarding the wrong file, or Copilot reading it. Data & More DLP makes sure sensitive content never reaches the wrong place to begin with, shrinking your exposure, your breach scope and the effort behind every GDPR and NIS2 obligation, with a clear, auditable record.

You can’t breach data that isn’t there.

Questions about DLP

Is this Microsoft's DLP?+
No. It runs natively in your Microsoft 365 tenant with nothing to install on devices, and it uses the Data & More profiling engine, so it catches the GDPR and NIS2 categories Microsoft's out-of-the-box classifiers miss.
Can we start without blocking anyone?+
Yes. Log records a violation silently without notifying anyone, and Monitor watches without intervening. Turn a source up to Alert, Block or Grace-block when you are ready.
What is grace-block?+
Enforcement held for a set window, so a person can override it before it takes effect. It stops the accident without stopping the work.
What does the user see?+
An email and a Teams card naming the source the finding came from. Values labelled for redaction are masked in the notification, so the warning never repeats the sensitive content.
