Data & More | Privacy Platform

The Data & More Privacy Platform consists of three layers: the Data Privacy Monitor, which identifies all privacy data in your platform; the Data Minimization Manager, which enables data owners to delete non-compliant data; and the Data Subject Manager, which identifies Data Subjects at Risk, facilitates DSAR, and mitigates Data Breaches. The Privacy Platform also offers an add-on integration with Microsoft Purview for easy classification, verification, and minimization, as well as an MS Copilot Privacy Protection integration.

Data & More | Data Privacy Monitor

The Privacy Monitor provides comprehensive insights into your organization’s privacy risks. It offers detailed analytics, including the number of documents containing personal data, who owns them, where they’re stored, and how old they are. At the heart of the Privacy Monitor is the multifactor Data Privacy Classification engine, which accurately identifies privacy-related documents in 28 languages. This advanced classification makes the Privacy Monitor an essential tool for any Data Protection Officer (DPO) or Chief Information Security Officer (CISO).

When used in combination with the Data Minimization Manager (see below), you gain visibility into the progress of your data minimization strategy. You can easily flag suspicious accounts or unusual data access patterns. Dashboards and customizable reports allow teams to track improvements over time and pinpoint high-risk areas. The system continuously scans your environment to detect new privacy risks as they emerge. With automated alerts and audit-ready reporting, compliance becomes a proactive, streamlined process.

Data & More | Data Minimization Manager™

In the end, all successful data privacy initiatives end with data minimization. That is, deleting data that is illegal to keep under data privacy laws such as GDPR, CCPA, and PIPEDA. Now, deleting data might sound easy—and it is. However, only deleting the correct data is a whole different story. To delete illegal data, you must first classify the data and identify the data subject, then verify your automated findings with the data owners, and only then can you delete the illegal data.

Luckily, we have been working on just that for the last seven years, both to implement and operate data minimization at scale, from organizations with fewer than 40 employees to those with over 40,000. Using the same simple approach of classify | verify | minimize. Building on this straightforward concept, our platform offers a comprehensive solution for data minimization.

Data & More | DataSubject Manager™

The DataSubject Manager™ provides a comprehensive overview of all Data Subjects in your Microsoft 365 tenant and any Data Subjects in On-Premises Mail, SharePoint, and File Shares.

Using the DataSubject Manager™, a DPO or CISO can quickly identify which Data Subjects they oversee and whether any of these subjects have Privacy Data at Risk. (PDR)

The total number of Data Subjects at Risk (DSR) is the critical metric for any Data Protection Officer (DPO). For the first time, the Data & More Privacy Platform delivers this vital insight to DPOs.

Moreover, Data Subjects at Risk is not just a reporting metric; the DataSubject Manager also serves as the primary resource for Victim Analysis, Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR), Requests for Insight (RFI), or Requests for Ratification (RFR).

Data & More | for Microsoft Purview (add-on)

The add-on Data &  More for Purvew enables Microsoft Purview to perform Data Privacy Classification, End-user verification, and  Data Minimization out of the box.  It works with more the 28 languages and integrates with Purview’s own classification, sensitivity labels, and retention polices.

The whitepaper addresses data classification challenges and the resulting high incidence of false positives and/or missed documents (false negatives), both of which hinder effective deployment.

The paper provides insights and strategies to improve classification accuracy and streamline the application of sensitivity labels, facilitating better compliance and data governance by utilizing the add-on.

Data & More | Copilot Privacy Protection (add-on)

Microsoft Copilot is a powerful tool that can help users become more productive; however, it also introduces a significant set of security and privacy risks for the organization. This white paper explores those risks and the potential data breaches that can occur as a result of implementing Copilot.

To mitigate these risks Data & More introduces Copilot Privacy Protection. This solution enables global administrators to quantify their level of data privacy risk and take action to remediate at-risk items prior to implementing Copilot.

More importantly, Data & More Copilot Privacy Protection (abbreviated as ‘D&M | CPP’) provides a way for organizations to confirm they meet the security requirements outlined by Microsoft and can responsibly implement Copilot. After implementation, it also provides a way to monitor data privacy risks over time to ensure ongoing compliance.
